  1. You should use the Transport for London site. You can set options for what transport you want to use (trains, or no trains, buses or no buses). Many of these estimates are way off in time, or not the fastest way.  There is no way to do this trip in less than 97 minutes. Travel distance by road is 21.2 miles.

    --------------------

There is very little advantage to taking the Heathrow Express if you are going to take two different tube lines. The time advantage is lost because of the interchanges. In addition, the Bakerloo is terrible line to be on if you have any luggage.

    --------------------

I would suggest taking Piccadilly Line ( 44 mins) to Green Park Station and Switching to Jubilee Line (14 mins) to Canada Water Station. Piccadilly line has room for luggage (unlike Bakerloo).

    --------------------

From Canada Water you have to walk to the bus station (8 minutes) and take a replacement bus to New Cross Gate (19 minutes). [The East London line is closed for major line extension work to become part of the London Overground network.]

    - You may want to get a cab at this point since you are fairly close (approx 1.2 miles) and the public transport takes unusually long.

    --------------------------------------

Alternately you can take trains from either Charing Cross or London Bridge. But you need two forms of public transit to get to either of these stations. (Heathrow Express + Underground Line) or (Two underground lines).

  2. It's often cheaper to book with Addison Lee. They can get to Heathrow in 25 mins so you can call when you land.

You can get a quote online. From Heathrow Terminal 1 to New Cross Gate station it's £75

"This price includes the first 30 mins waiting time from the time that the plane lands. Any further waiting and/or car parking charges will be charged at a later date."

They always send a nice air-conditioned people carrier with lots of luggage room :)

  3. I payed 102 Pounds to do about that distance the other day in a taxi.

  4. About £100

  5. about £50-£80

  6. If you are talking about black cabs then probably between 70-80 pounds.  It would be much easier to get the Heathrow Express to Paddington then get the Bakerloo Line to Baker Street, Change for the Jubilee Line to London Bridge and get the train to New Cross Gate from there.  It would take you about an hour in total (probably the same as it would take a taxi).
