Can't tell you about Ohio, but in L.A. California it's about $80,000 with experience and in the inner city.  You have to have a missionary type attitude and be willing to give of yourself.  It can be very rewarding and also very frustrating.  Depends on how you choose to view your job.

i live in nc and they make about $30,000 - $35,000 a yr around here & it also depends on if you teach at a public school or private school, most private school teachers around here make way less than public schools teachers

Depends on the state and if it is a public or private school. Also how much education she has or degrees. Our country does not value our teachers with money but it is a good career.

If you get a masters degree along with your license, you'll get a bit more.  Starting is usually around 35,000 a year or so.

I am a preschool teacher and as a professional I make the same amount as a regular teacher which is 45, 000 a year. Although with the budget crisis this is the worse time to become a teacher.

It depends upon the state that you live in and what credentials you possess. For instance, a person with a BA in ED might get less money than a person with a MA or PHD in ED.  Good LUCK!

Not nearly enough.  We overpay our politicians and people who do nothing to improve society, but we can't ever pay the people who teach our children enough.

Good luck to her with her studies.  If she's doing it for the money, she's going to be extremely disappointed.  If she's doing it because she loves children, she'll be rewarded handsomely.

it all varies.25-60 if you live in the city you get paid more. but if you live in more of a suburban area then you dont get paid alot. so in ohio if you live in a highly populated city youll probabally be getting paid 35-45k a year. on the other hand if you live in a less populated suburban area youll be paid around 25-40k..
