  1. Based on if it's from a local Park's tennis academy or from a private instructor.  Just to give you an idea, in my area, it cost $22 per 30 mins singles lesson.  Doubles/group lessons are sometime cheaper.  For a private instructor, it could start at $40 and hour up per individual.

  2. This really depends on where you live and wether you are doing strictly private or groups. A certified tennis pro will be in the $60-100/hour range unless it's at a resort or there are indoor court costs that will bump up the price. If you go with a group(4:1 is the highest ratio that gets good results)you can knock your costs down to $25/hr. There are cheaper, almost no cost options through USTA and local organizations like a Tennis Patrons.

If you are a junior player, then things get a bit complicated as 1-2 hrs/week isn't enough and most pros will give a combo of private and hitting sessions that get the hourly cost down, but the total tab can run to $300-500/week. The academies have a similar cost structure for the tennis portion, but schooling and living arrangements make the overall cost higher.

  3. Well it depends.. Look for tennis coaches around your area because they will probably all charge different prices

  4. My tennis pro charges $50/half hour.  She's USPTR.
