  1. Buying at short notice about £20.

The further in advance you can book, the cheaper the ticket - and as Rochester is on a major commuter line into central London, it's easier, cheaper and more pleasant to travel at 'off peak' times.

    Look at:

    http://www.thetrainline.com/

and don't forget that trains also run from Charing Cross in central London to Rochester.

  2. saver day 12.30

  3. London Terminals (this is every London Station, south side, so Victoria, Waterloo, Charing Cross, Cannon Street and London Bridge) to Rochester Kent will cost you between £12 and £20 depending if you want a single or return, travel peak or off peak, without discounts.

However if you are travelling after 10am and not between 4pm and 7pm then check out the SouthEastern web page as they have a £10 deal bookable 7 days in advance for any South Eastern served rail station via there services only which may be better for you (its like a rover ticket, hop on and off as many times as you like in that day with the restrictions advertised).

Rail tickets for journeys within the South East of Englands commuter zones do not get any cheaper the further ahead you buy due to demand and passenger loadings.

    Good Luck

  4. I THINK its about £4.50

  5. Cheap Day Return, £12.40, Standard Day Return £14.40, Saver Return, £20.70

Later - why do some idiots give thumbs down to properly researched and correct answers?

  6. Try http://www.thetrainline.com . It not only gives you train timetables but all available fares.

  7. Go to http://www.nationalrail.co.uk

It tells you times and fares.
