How much does a typical family of four spend on these items?

Since when did the income of a typical family of four become 65K, and when did Eating out, College Savings, and Retirement become anything the adults of a typical family of four could afford the luxury of.

We are a family of four and have everything pretty budgeted out.  We live in CIncinnati so take cost of living differences into account.

$150 per week spending money for each my husband and I.

$325 every two weeks for groceries.

$100 per month for family outtings, etc.

College Savings $150 per month.

Credit cards, we put nothing on credit cards.

Clothing we have almost all "hand me outs" from our family friends.

Maybe $100 per season for shoes, underwear, etc per kid.

The killer is daycare for a 8 month old and my 4 year old, $15,000 in daycare.  

Mortgage $1700

UM  I can not answer.. I live with my mom and dad and husband. We make a total around 230k a year... We spend ALOT on all those things.

Weel, for starters, you can start out with IMPORTANT STUFF like house or rent: roughly 1000

Food:  300 month if you get generic brands

Child care:   500 Month

Gas: 200 Month

Electric: 300 Month

Misc (toilet paper shampoo, laundry soap, dishwashing deter.): 150 month maybe

Eatin at home saves you about 20 bucks each meal

If you dont have cash dont charge it

Kid stuff and clothing for whole family can be at a second hand store or somewhere cheap.

Family stuff can cost about 100 bucks a month mayeb if your smart and budget.

You can do all that for 65K. Not as well as you could do it with 200K, but better than you could do it with 40K.
