How much does a used van in mexico cost?

We wouldn't need it to last more than 3 months, so basically just a decent old van, and idea how much we should expect to pay in mexico?

You can't insure a car you buy in Mexico and it's a real stupid idea to drive in Mexico (as a gringo) without insurance

Check out "yahoo autos" webpage, they advertise used cars all over Mexico. It'll give you a good idea about prices.

When you get to the town or city in Mexico, where you plan to buy the van, buy a local newspaper, "anuncio clasificado" are the ads and it's pretty safe and easy.

it depends  what car company is it from a vw eurovan cost brand new 198.000 pesos that in us dollars is 19.000 dollars people in mexico are greddy  a used van named just now in used it should cost about 120.000pesos in us is 12.000 just a  rent a car is better

Used cars are very expensive and do NOT lose their value as in the U.S because Americans like their cars and would rather keep a newer one than keep repairing one..

If you do You most certainly can insure it.

Not a good idea over all.

Travel by bus is much easier and they do the driving.

I know 7 people who own bought three "Safaris" and four "Volkswagons" Six have full coverage with "Sanbornes" and the seventh is a fool and drives uninsured
