How much does a waitor make in tips in a night?

At a place like tgi fridays. and how long is an average shift? like 5 hours or so?

at fridays, id say btwn 60-120 a night. shifts are usually about 6 hours (including closing work), maybe a little longer. But this can vary from location, time of year, and day of week. :)

Well a place like Fridays tends to be longer shifts so you can make the money.  It all depends on the location of the resturant and the guest that come into that resturant. Being a server can be very stressful, like one night you may make over a 100 and another night you make 35.  I work at Longhorn Steakhouse and make an average of around 75 a night.  My average shift is around 4 hrs no more than 5.  But at a place like Fridays, Applebees, and chili's it could be an average of 5-8.

it depends upon location. Average shift could be as much as 7 hrs or so. Average tips cpould be $50-$150+

p.s people if you cant afford to tip go to MD or stay home
