  1. I was reading the reviews on Sheraton Cable Beach on Trip Advisor - some of the recent one's talked about a wedding there and one even mentioned a wedding coordinator there by name of Sharri Clark- so I would contact her directly and work with her!  As to costs there, I am sure that she can give you the costs as well for a wedding directly over the phone, so you can either decide if it's for you or not right away.  You can also book the hotel rooms right from Trip Advisor & look at other properties too - just search on the main page for "weddings Bahamas" and see what comes up.  Good luck!  Oh - here's the link - http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserRevie...

  2. There are a few hotels that offer free weddings if you stay a certain number of nights. Sandals is a good choice they have several packages and a wedding package that is free if you are staying six nights but is very basic. The website below features the free package with links to the other packages

  3. Go to the Sheraton web site and ask them!  They will help you out with everything!

  4. Well I don't know about the bahamas, though I did do a destination wedding a few years ago in DR and just a few words of advice from my experience:

*book everything with the hotel directly as opposed to with the travel agent, nothing we booked was related to the hotel and nothing was ready for us when we got there. Keep calling and make sure everyone understands whats going to happen, and is going to be how you want it.

*Our "minister" (the person that married us, anyways) didn't speak english, so just make sure that you find out all the details that you can, This was about $600

*Someone can take "professional" pictures, I believe it was about 50 pictures for about $500. We didn't go with this, as all of our friends were taking pictures and it didn't seem worth it

*Make sure you decide on your venue for your reception. If you are just doing a dinner and then going to a club on the resort, like we did, we didn't have to pay anything extra as it was an all inclusive resort. However make sure that you book the space for dinner before hand so they can accommodate your party.

*If you are doing bouquets and flowers, again book with the hotel, we tried booking for this and it would have cost of $500 however they didn't do it. So the morning of, my sister and I ran around the resort picking Flowers.

*Wedding Cake was free for us, so I can't allocate a price

*Your hair will probably cost you around $100

*Don't know if you are flying all your guest down or not, but we booked a group rate and saved a bit of money that way. I think the agent took off about 10% off each ticket.

    Good Luck

  5. Although I am not engaged yet...I plan on having a destination wedding and have already began researching.  Destination weddings can work under a similar budget that you may have established for a domestic wedding.

I cannot help u with any numerical figures, however I can say that I have vacationed on cable beach 8 times and the Sheraton would be a delightful place for a wedding! Best wishes :)
