How much does all wheel drive lower your mpg?

I own an Audi as well who make the most sophisticated awd system in the world but besides that, the awd system adds 200-300 lbs. I don't know what that does to gas mileage but it certainly doesn't help.

not much i would say only about a half mile no more..

between 1-2, auto trans 2 and AC another 1....

I own an Audi (AWD).  On my model it only lowers the average MPG by about 2 MPG.

But on trucks and SUV where they can be disengaged, they should be.  They usually have much bigger affect.
