A Bellsouth technician is really a CWA employee that works on the Bellsouth network (now part of AT&T).  The CWA is one of the most corrupt and aggressive labor unions in the USA.  There is no future in this job and AT&T is aggressively working to break the back of the CWA and replace all the old Bellsouth workers with new nonunion labor.  What this means is that, despite making $18-$30/hour as a CWA/Bellsouth employee today, you would likely be on the unemployment line in short order.  Stay away from the CWA.
