  1. More than you enough. In the mean time go to yuwie and type in  502738

  2. If you have to ask, way too much. It may not be sorth shile going bankrupt to avoid it, but you may have to clamp down hard on spending for a long time.

  3. when you get the bill , call the billing number

there are programs to get help with paying the bill.

i know because i dont have insurance and talked to the billing clerk and got my bill cut by half.

    good-luck

  4. You're probably going to see a bill for an easy $2000. BUT before you pass out, call the billing office and ask for the "cash price" - meaning, will they offer you a discount. Most will. Especially if then you offer to pay a chunk of it right away and then make regular payments.

Ideally, if you can pay 1/3 to 1/2 the cash price right away, they will be happy. Even if you can only pay $100 right away and then $20-$25 a month until it's paid off, it should be okay.

Remember three things: 1. you MUST make your payments if you make a payment agreement with the hospital. If you miss ONE payment, they have the right to send you to a collection agency - which will then put your credit in the toilet. 2. If you don't make your regular payments, you can probably also kiss any discount goodbye. 3. Act sooner rather than later!! If you don't see a bill within the next 90 days, call the hospital and ask for their billing department, to "check the status of your account". Otherwise, about a year from now, you'll probably get a nasty letter from a collection agency. (I know of hospitals that pull this.) Then you'll spend more time than it's worth getting your credit cleaned up.

  5. oh! a lot.

they rape the ones with no insurance. it's a joke.

with the injection fee, the ER visit and all of the materials they used, you're looking at a least few hundred bucks.

  6. The average ER visit costs almost $2,000.  Your visit is probably on the lower end (maybe $700-$800) if all you got was an IV.
