How much does an animal researcher get pay?

im really interested in animals and if i wanted to be an animal researcher...for example penguins..would i get paid for that? and how much?

  1. The ones I know don't get paid anything for their research but have to do it to keep their jobs as college professors.  The other people I know that do it do so as part of their undergraduate degrees.

    I'm sure there are jobs out there where you do get paid to do it but i've never seen any other than a college professor.

Depends on where they end up working.  I'm at a university and started at 40K/year in 2001, with a job that requires roughly equal amounts of teaching and research (which is actually common in the US for the larger universities).  There are research institutions that require less teaching and teaching colleges that require less research, but the pay scale is generally the same.

  4. You would get paid by either State, Government or a Private Entitie that's funding the research. How much you will get depends on what type of research you are doing and how long the research will take.

    Just as a reminder you need a college education for this type of work
