The most common size pool table that people have in their homes is 4 X 8 ft.  Regulation size is 4 1/2 X 9 ft.  For a quality slate table, you really don't want to pay less than $1000.  The sky is the limit from there.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

if you want a good one expect to pay $800- $1000.00. you can buy cheapies but won't hold up as good . you will want one with slate for the bed. get a regulation 4 by 8 foot.

you have choses of sizes & are they new used & what size room your puting it in....used tables vary....lookin your local paper & see.. check condition before you buy..does it need felt ,rail rubber (take a ball & just bounce it off to see how it reacts when hit) also remember to have room for just a 7ft  it takes a room of 14 x16  no smaller than that...if buying new then you wouldnt have to worry except the cloth..championship or siminios is your best bet for cloth..I wish you luck & try to not go with the sears ,walmart tables if you can...If you go with used  remember if you can pick the end up its NOT slate...your average cost used not under 1000..new not under 1500..Good Luck & Rack "em UP
