  1. Hi

im gettin married soon too and im havin 150 to the sit down meal and about another 100 to the afters and it costing us 7,500 euro but thats not counting the band and cars.

  2. Well.... I can say what the average wedding is costing but I think it's a load of (&*&#&!!! Some people are crazy enough to throw $75000 into a wedding, I on the other hand am not! I am having a vow renewal and I am getting it all under $6000 I'll break it down for you..

Now mind you this is in central pa, in the fall, and I am doing a lot of work..as I think if its a smaller afair like I am having approx 80 people you can do a lot on your own and save tons of cash! Fall wedding in central PA with approx 80 people

$2000 venue site all weekend for a renovated barn turned into a lodge sleeps 20 with game room, chefs kitchen  Beautiful scenery!

$1800 for catering buffet style dinner meaning baked hams, stuffed turkeys, mashed potatos, corn, carrots, etc etc etc

    $600 wedding cake

$400 DJ with karaoke equip all lighting and sound services!

$800 attire, this includes my dress, my girls dresses, and my hubbys tux.

$500 decorations, corn stalks, hay bales, mums, twigs, pumpkins, apples etc

    $500 bar bill

    $50 stationary and stamps

$50 favors... doing my own candy and caramel apples.

Now granted this is not everyones idea of a great wedding but with a little bit of imagination it can be done. Also because it is a vow renewal I dont have to worry about things like an officiant or a church  and my advise when someone asks to help say YES! If you have a great cousin who does photography let them do it and give it to you as a wedding gift. If you have a distant aunt who wants to be your guest book attendant let her! If you have friends who will help you put together favors and flowers do it! Accept the help, its free! If they offer take it! It'll save you so much money!

  3. Agh agh where are all you people getting married because i am jealous of the prices you guys are all paying. I live in california we are planning on inviting 350-400 people because my fiancee has a very big family, the hall alone will cost us 23,000$. On top of that the photographer and video will be another 6000$. Entertainment including Dj and singer will be another 6000$. Dress 1000-2000$ haven't decided yet. Limo and other little things like invites and bonboniers will be all together another 5000$. everything comes up to 50,000 with the honeymoon!! So it reallllllllllyyyyyyyyyy depends on where and how many people you are inviting. GOOD LUCK!!!

  4. I had a descent size wedding....4 Bridesmaids 5 Groomsman...a flower girl and 75 guest...

Got married outside in a gazebo and had a nice hall and all of it

    food, dj, photo, cake, flowers....

    Cost me  2500.00...NO LIE!!!

You really have to do your research on things...And you can have a beautiful wedding that looks like you spent 10 grand and it didn't

    Good Luck

  5. It all depends on where you live, how many people you are inviting, how formal the affair is, etc.

Here is a website that will give you the average cost of a wedding in your area.

  6. You have to consider how much you actually *want* to spend on just one day.

Do you want a big, fancy, expensive, flashy wedding?  Expect to pay upwards of $30K.

If you want something private, intimate and only invite the people closest to, you can get away with around $5-10K.

My feeling is I would rather invest money on my marriage/house/children's futures than one day.

  7. For 200 guests you can have a nice wedding for under 10,000.For 100 guests around 5000.Depends on where you live. These are deals in Texas.

  8. cost me 30K

  9. There is no such thing as the average wedding. Each wedding should be tailored to your own budget. I've seen beautiful, lavish weddings costing as much as 50K and I've seen weddings on a budget that were just as beautiful. So, you need to start with your own budget and go from there.

  10. $20,000 to $30,000 Is average...

but ive heard of $10,000 weddings being just as nice...

Its all up to you and your finances ...I personal think that it doesnt really matter on the price just as long that it looks nice and your HAPPY!!!  Being creative is the key , and taste but like I said you can still make it look nice on a a smaller budget.

    Good luck!!

  11. Between $50 to $100 dollars a person. It really varies depending on the location. Ours was about $75 per person.
