Question:

How much does an electric bass guitar cost

My friends band needs a bass player so if I find a bass guitar I will learn how to play it so I can join his band. I am good with regular guitar so I should be able to pick up bass easily :)

Does anyone know a good site where they give free bass lessons?

  1. i really liked this guy's youtube vid...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFnm2xSfL...

it gives a good basic bass start for blues.

i started off on a Peavey Milestone III

    they're probably around $150

i really like that the neck is thinner than your average bass, so your strings are closer together. it's not heavy. it's two jazz pickups.

now i own a Peavey Millenium 4 string (basically the same bass, just a different finish. http://www.musicarius.com/catalog/images... ).

i changed the pickups on it to Dimarzio Ultra Jazz pickups.

I bought this bass for $179.

I could have bought (and regret to this day ) the 5 string for $199 (only $20 more). oh well.

i strongly recommend to not get a 6 string until you know how to play a 5 string. and on that note, don't get a 5 til you know how to play a 4 string.

  2. It all varies on stuff really... but you should be able to get a decent bass for about $600

And if you're good at guitar why do you wanna get bass lessons? I never took bass lessons and I can play it just like a guitar. You just have to learn the bass parts to the songs. Unless you wanna like slap bass or something like that you don't need lessons... And that's not even that difficult to do...

www.ultimate-guitar.com has some though... I think....

  3. my friend got one for $200 but it's pretty crappy
