  1. Most electrical heaters today are of the fan type and are usually 1, two ,or 3 kilowatt. A one kilo watt electric fire will burn one unit of electrical energy per hour. So for example if you pay 10 pence for a unit of electricity this will power a one kilowatt electric fire for one hour. Therefore a two kilowatt fire would use two units of electricity per hour costing you 20 pence per hour to run.

  2. Have a read of this site, it will explain all you want to know.

On your fire, somewhere, will be the wattage, see what it is

then go by that, as to what the working out of costs will be,.

  3. too much,,put on a wooly jumper or ill tell ya mum your wasting energy,,lol,,stay warm ok.x

  4. its all down to power output, the lower the watts the cheaper it is to run,on average for a 100watt fire or heater its about 17p an hour,

  5. Approx. 12-15 pence per hour per (1000 watts) 1 Kw., with the recent increases in energy costs.  You need to look on the rating plate on the back or bottom and see how many Kw it is!  It may have switches to select 1/2/3, depends on make and model.

  6. OMG! you don't know the answer! WOW!!
