  1. do you mean a F-16 fighter jet?? if that is the case your looking at about $100,000 an hour and that's not counting weapons or bombs or what ever they pay the pilot, in fuel alone your looking at about $20,000 to $30,000 the after burn and the wait on the runway it's all fuel consuming plus that's not counting if he jet land's some where and they have to fix some thing on it so fighter jet parts can cost $1 million easy


  2. I used to work for an FBO at a major airport.  I saw every type of jet. I couldnt see the actually price the DOD paid us for fuel but most would take on 800 gallons of fuel.  Do the math! We would get lots of harriers that are gas hogs.  they would run sorties that would only take them an hour or two and would always get a full top off.  sometimes up to 1300 gallons! LOL...your tax dollars at work.
