How much does an iphone 3g cost, without a plan, just the device?

I don't want to know about the plan, just about the cost of the actual device.

its 200 dollars for a 8gb or 300 for a 16 but they dont sell it without the plan, in order to buy from store you have to buy the plan, unless you get it from ebay or something.

i am pretty sure its 499 for 8GB model, and 599 for 16GB model. good luck, it rocks. EDIT: people who say you can't buy it w/o the plan are dead wrong, they just make a limited amount available per day for purchase

You have to by the iPhone 3G for $200(8gb) $300((16gb) with a contract. they're forcing people to sign contracts. Rumor has it though that Apple is planning to release an unlocked version for double of the current price.
