How much does an over-due library book cost? I NEED TO KNOW ASAP!?

I have this book at slinger community library out and i all of a sudden realized it was due yesterday! & right now they're closed so I'll have to wait 'til TOMORROW and im not even sure if they are open on Saturdays. I am in some serious c**p right now..if anyone knows approximently how much money it costs per day PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know i Realllly want to know how much money it is before i tell my mom and she blows up on me.

its a short chapter book in the Camp confidential series..if ur familiar with that..Prolly not!

Well, I reckon it varies from library to library.

For one book being one day overdue it is no biggie - the charge shouldn't be over 1 dollar.

My library charges 15 cents per book per day that it is overdue, which isn't much, but adds up when you've had several overdue books for a week.  The only time you'll have to pay a big fee is when you have damaged or lost books.  If you don't want to pay the charge at the time being, just put your book in the slot, and generally they will make you pay later on, like the next time you want to check out a book.

If you are concerned, there might be information on your library's website.  Look it up, I bet they'll let you know.

The fines are usually very little. Even if you live in a big city, I'm sure it can't be more than a dollar per day.
