  1. It cost the government $500,000 to train me and those in my field.  That is pay, security clearance and all that.  It completely depends on a persons job and how much equipment they are carrying. AF Combat Control carry radio's that cost over a million dollars.  Your average infantry person probably carries around $5,000 worth of stuff.   You're question isn't really specific enough to give an exact answer.

  2. All the time and training adds up to a lot. Equipment wise .. as in the stuff you are issued when you join and when you first get to the unit, a couple thousand dollars (uniforms, field gear, blah blah blah).

As far as your weapon goes with attachments, etc., several thousand for your night vision devides, weapon, optics, infrared lasers, etc etc etc. it adds up. when all i said and done, to include enlistment incentives, pay, training, travel, equipment, food, etc etc etc and by the time you get, probably well over a million dollars.

to give you an idea, the arms room for an infantry company, which sustain approximately 130 people is worth over a million dollars.

  3. 1. $80.00 boots

    2. $85.00 uniform

    3. $20.00 beret

    4. $20.00 t-shirt & undies

    5. $ 8.00 pack of socks

    6. US SOLDIER PRICELESS

You can not put a price on service to country.

  4. I read on Military.com that it costs about $16,000 to put a Marine through bootcamp.
