  1. more than you think car and driver just did a test on cars hitting 200 mph and a lambo (capable of hitting 210) didnt make it because he had 1 inch bigger rims than factory installed

  2. it has nothing to do with the size of your wheels, it's the diameter of your tires that will make the difference, for every inch taller your tire is it lowers your gear size by seven points,i've been building drag cars for 20 years this is the formula that is used, good luck

  3. Bigger diameter or bigger width?  Small wheels will spin faster but have less leverage off the line.  You need more power to turn bigger wheels, so your time may be hurt at top end if you don't have the power to push them.

If your spinning your wheels at starting line you need more traction or wider tires, gummier tire compound or better tread design. Sipping can give a  better grip on your existing tires.

  4. If you got lower profile tires and didn't change the overall diameter of your tires, you won't see any real change in acceleration, because the spin rate of the tire circumference will be the same.  If you increased overall tire diameter, you could see increased acceleration.  Keep in mind, your speedo won't be accurate anymore, either.  My speedo is off by 1.4 mph (at 70 mph) with my change.

The flip side is increased unsprung weight, the enemy of performance.  If your tires add weight to your car, it's all unsprung, which your car has to drag along the ground and overcome inertia as well.

  5. the bigger the rim, the more weight ur car has to pull...
