How much does car insurance cost?

I'm 18 and I drive a '01 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I haven't had any tickets or accidents.

I depends on where you live. State/Province. I have also phoned around in my province and some rates are 2  1/2 other companies rates. Phone around and you can get the same product for a significantly lower price. It also depends on whether you get collision insurance or not.

when you first start out at any insurance company your coverage will always be high for the first three years I would suggest you get different quotes and go with the lowest amount of payments that meet your budget.

Put in your details and they come up with a price.

Because you're young its cheaper to put it under your parents name.

It'll save you a bit and your excess will be cheaper if you have an accident.

They work it out based on how long you've been driving.

It depends if you will be on your own policy or not.  If you are on your parents policy it should be, I think, about $120.00 per month.. That's in NY....Your own policy would be lots more. This would be with collision.  Without collision would be a lot less.  Collision covers your car and anything that you may hit.

That depends on where you live and what kind of coverage you want.  If you want just liability as required in most states, I'd guess it'd be around $40 a month for you.  If you want full coverage, I'd guess around $100 a month.  But that's based on my state and I'm guessing my state is pretty low compared to other larger/more populated states.
