  1. Not sure on current prices, but in April 2005 the full fee, for a local childcare in Brisbane Bayside, for a 3yr old child was quoted as $41 per day before the Centrelink Discount.  

    This can reduce to about $6 per day after the Centrelink Discount.  (as at 2005).

    Our local ABC childcare centre is still quoting "Fees can be from $6.00 per day depending on the individual centre's fee schedule and the family's level of Child Care Benefit."


  2. Childcare fees are around $62 -$65 per day per child. Virtually all working Australians receive government benefits and/or rebates which can considerably reduce the amount payable. Previously unemployed parents who are looking for work or studying can pay under $10 per day in some cases.
