How much does computer cost 1998 tjjeep?

In '98 i've paid for a second hand Celeron 300Mhz with 64Mb Ram, 16 Mb Video (4Mb + 12Mb Video Accelerator Vodoo :)) ), an 15'' multimedia display around 1500$. It was a lot of machine at that time...Even though my phone is faster now :)), computers generally kept their prices the same. Low ends costed around 500-700$, medium performance around 1000$ and if you went for extras (at that time) like cd burners (1x or 2x) or multimedia screens, bla bla bla, you could've ended up paying around 1500-2000$. The same thing is applicable these days, except that low-end are considered P5 or MacBooks that work at around 2-3Ghz. The standards have changed :) LOL
