I recently shoplifted from wal-mart and stole around $45 worth of things so I owed wal-mart $200...which I paid today. I go to court tomorrow and was wondering how much court cost for something like that. Does anyone know?

  2. The court may just let it go or make you pay a fine.  That all depends on the judge.  Maybe @ $100.  You were smart by making restitution before court.  That will look good for you.  If the court does issue you a fine, (that doesn't count what Walmart made you pay,) the judge will give you 1-2 months to pay it.  You may get community service, or 30 days probation, again, depending on the judge.  Try and see if the judge will dismiss it from your record so you won't have that charge on your record.  You need to ask the judge.  You have a good shot since you paid Walmart.

    P. S. Walmart sucks.  I can't believe they made you pay them $200 for $45 worth of their junk!

  3. I need to know what state and county you were charged in to tell the true amount. But on adverage, around $ 200.00.

  4. Depends on what the law states for this amount of shoplifting items worth and what the judge does per law on court costs.
