  1. Daycare cost is dependent on a lot of things.... where you live, how many kids, how many days, accreditation, home daycare vs school daycare.

I work at a daycare and for infants (6 weeks- 15 months) we charge $286 per week. for 3 days a week it's less. Around 200 or so. Payable even if the child does not show up.

For a toddler it is $266 per week (15 months- 2 years)  around $180 for 3 days.

Plus we give a discount for siblings... not sure how we work it with twins but I'm guessing it's around a 15% discount. My daycare is also nationally accredited and we provide excellent care. We also provide breakfast lunch and snack for children on normal foods.

Unfortunately, unless you work at one, daycare can be expensive. Home daycares seem to be less costly though, so maybe look into one of those.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

  2. There's really no straight answer for how much child care costs. Child care fees vary by your location and the facility you choose.  Most daycare facilities range from $200 per week (part-time) to $800 per week. Fees for infants usually cost more because they need more care and there are less children in infant rooms than in toddler or preschool rooms. You might want to check out some government funded agencies as well. The fees for those agencies are based on your income. I have two children, ages 2 and 6, that go to a government funded child development center and the caregivers and teachers are excellent. They are certified and/or licensed to care for children. Their activities are chosen wisely and are according to their development stages.

My advice is to call around and visit some places in your area. You might find one that suits your needs as far as the hours, days, fees, and the program that they provide. The disposition of the children is usually the best sign of how the children are cared for. If they are active and happy or quiet and cranky.

Good luck and congratulations on your wonderful children.

  3. At our local daycare, I was paying $34 a day for my toddler, babies were a few dollars more per day.  They did offer a small discount for families (more than one child).

  4. better quit work because you are gonna go broke paying for daycare!

  5. What my wife does is charge $30 a day per kid...  If they are part time its $35 a day per kid because they still take up a spot for someone who might want to be full time. And we live in the southern Chicago land area.

  6. one of my friends friend mom has to pay 150 dollars a week even if the Little girl didnt go at all that week she still had to pay 150
