good question.

Many people say not alot, but it's not true.  Many CFL players you know get paid between $150,000 - $300,000 top players like QB's get paid $500,000.

Remember bonuses, and CFL pension which is actually quite good.  

People also aren't aware that the CFL player union last agreement now gets players that play 1 game gets bonus compensatin for things like gameday revenue.  That adds up to about $1,500 a game.  

Playoff game bonuses are about $5,000.  Grey Cup you they get about $15,000.

Most players get spenditures like free housing, and cars.  I know a few CFL players who get their entire townhouse paid if they been on the team for 3 seasons, and 1 player I know drives a $45,000 vehicle that he told me the team paid 25% and the dealership covered the rest.

The CFL salary is what most leagues should have.  If you join the league you get about $45,000.  

The average salary is low because most players are new instead of 4-5 year vets who get over $100,000.

Non skill players make on average 50,000 or less, QB's make in the 6 figure range with Ricky Ray of the Edmonton Eskimos making a spectulated 400-450,000. The salary cap is 4 million and change so divide that by the roster and see there aint too much to go around.But really a good LB can make 90,000 so these guys arent starving either.

Who cares. CFL is like a league for washed out high-schoolers.  Little to no talent required.

they need to make more for what they do.  I love the CFL.  the action is better than the NFL.
