How much does electricity cost monthly?

I live in a small city in new york state and i am planning on moving into a house we are renting with 4 other people. How much would electricity cost monthly?

I also have taken account for:

Groceries

Cable/Internet

i don't know what else i should be figuring out?

It costs about 14¢ to 15¢ per kwh.

The more you use, the more you pay.

I used to pay about $ 400 a month, but moved to a new place with less space and better insulation and pay about $ 150.

The best way to find this out is to ask someone else that lives in a house about the same age and size and is also located in that town.

I would bet that five people use more electricity than two people so you would also need to adjust for that.

Every area has a different electric rate and different climate so that the need for power varies.

If the people are not related you will need to come up with rules about how often they can have people over and who gets to eat what and noise and such.
