Multi questions in the end

Unlike boxing, MMA, or any other sport or event, Professional Wrestling has a unique bond with music. Music helps tell the story, and prepares the crowd for what is to come.

For some, it isn't even the music itself that causes the pop, it's the first sound that plays before the music kicks in.

When Glass shatters, Steve Austin has arrived.

When you heard "HEY!" come over the loudspeak, Randy Orton was here.

If a car screeched and swerved, it was Mick Foley time.

When the deep bell tolled, the Undertaker was near.

So here's what I want to ask - does a wrestler's entrance music effect how YOU feel about them? Which wrestlers have had music that made you pop? Which entrance music has been most effective and why? Discuss?

  1. the entrance music doesnt really give me a pop for the superstar but it does give people and idea of whats to come.

  2. totally! not as much as how they perform in the ring, but yeah. the wrestlers music that makes me pop are john cena jeff hardy undertaker hbk hhh ric flair cm punk and y2j

  3. ALL I KNOW IS THAT EDGE'S IS THE BEST EVERRRRRR

  4. It certainly effects & it plays a big part in a wrestler's overall image among the fans like when you imagine the Undertaker, that chilling enterance comes to mind. HHH's music displays a sort of dominance with the whole thing & that PLAY THE GAME music.

It pumps up the fans towards their favourite wrestlers like when that pyro hits & all red theme when Kane comes out &  which goes well according to the gimmick of every particular wrestler. So I think all these things play a big role in making it a complete action filled sports "entertainment".

  5. Yes, a great deal.

For me, Edge's theme. It's just so full of energy. Whenever I hear, "you think you know me" I know, I'm in for something good.

Randy Orton's as well. Well, his old one, Burn In My Light. It suited him perfectly IMO.

  6. not really, people get excited when they hear music because they know that that person will do somthing worth seeing

  7. d**n Strait Angie!!!!!

    "Metalingus" By- Alterbridge

    EDGE's THEME SONG!!!!!!

  8. Yeah the opening of the song is what garners the big pop. The music though does not really affect how I feel about them really. Songs that have made me get up off my seat at live events have been The Rock's, Austin, Cena'a, Y2J's and CM Punk's.

I think that Cena's is very effective, it's just something about those opening notes that make you want to cheer. Also Austin's music, when the glass shatters it just gets people pumped.

  9. well it's like this back in the good ol' days, when the rock's music used to hit : "if ya smell", once i heard that, i was like h**l yeah, it's the rock, and was excited as h**l to see the rock. those were the days...

  10. I love John Cena Music he rocks

  11. Obviously this what you want if you're a wrestling superstar, you want that huge roar as soon as fans hear the first chords of your entrance theme, just look at some of the greatest Ric Flair, HBK, Goldberg (like him or not as soon as people heard the music they started chanting), The Rock, Steve Austin, Bret Hart, it's just what they're going for, I think the most effective was DX during the first incarnation in the mid 90's.
