once you graduate college does your gpa really matter?

the thing is im always stressing about trying to get A's all the time but if i just find out that B's are just as good, that'd be great

  1. When I graduated from college, many job interviews wanted to know my GPA.  My GPA hurt me, so I went and got a masters (got a 3.9 on that), and then it was good.

    They don't have much to base their decision on when you are fresh out of college, so GPA matters, a few years later, accomplishments and references (and knowing people) are what matters.

    So ... keep busting your butt to get those A's ... but don't "stress" over the B's.


  2. I agree with Ryan, job interviewers do ask what your GPA is but also if you go to grad or professional school and graduate, it does not even matter what GPA you had in college. Now your GPA matters for grad school b/c if you don't have a 3.0, you will get put on probation. But Bs are good.  

  3. B's and B pluses are good in college.

    Employers see your gpa, so they use that in determining whether you get a job or not.
