  1. If you really do need shade. The old way was to use limewash.  Use hydrated lime mixed with water and paint it on the glass outside. It only lasts about 6 months and washes off naturally by the time you don't need it. Ah, the old ways.


  2. The shading of green bird netting is minimal, but shading netting works, see the link below, for example.

  3. All shade netting has a shade grading. It can range fro 10 to 90 % depending on what grade you buy. Some gardeners buy multiple sheets and lay them over each other. As they need more sun or shade depending on the season they can take off or put on another layer. Kinda like blankets on the bed.  

  4. It depends upon the grade - If you are in the UK this year you'll want all the light that you can this year!
