How much does homeschooling cost? can i start in the middle of the year?

i want to get homeschooled so bad because i have to move and ive moved like ten times and it sux! how much would it cost? and can i start just whenever??

in some schools u can and in some u cant but like lets say u took half of a class already u have to take it from the beginning again! and it all depends on what school you go through for the money situation ! but i hope u find a home school that helps I'm going through penn foster but i hope find one!!!

The cost depends on what books and stuff you use. You can start in the middle of the year. It depends on where you live for what you have to do. In some states whoever is going to homeschool you has to like fill out a paper or something.

check out http://www.hslda.org and look for your states laws. Do NOT go to the local school district unless required to by law as many times they really have no clue.  Your parents can remove you from school at any time -- you are their child NOT the states --- but should have their ducks in a row beforehand. It can work great for those who move all the time (part of why we do) and need more flexibility.

Cost depends on the curriculum you use and where you get it from. You can homeschool for free with the library and a Bible but it takes more effort.

This is something you need to discuss with your parents and then be obedient.

Costs depend on what type of curriculum your parents choose and other materials needed. It can be very inexpensive to very expensive.

When you state you move around a lot - do you move around within the state or state to state? If you are moving from one state to another it is vital you research the state laws and requirements of each state prior to moving in to avoid issues.

As far as when you can start homeschooling - many families start at the beginning of a school year but there are those who do so during the school year. Just make sure you follow state laws & requirements.
