I don't know the answer to your question, but ....... wow you are in Germany now......i use to live there when i was a little girl...now 31.... i have so many good memories.  I just want to say have fun and any food you eat will be worth any amount of money that you pay!

It depends on the city. I live in Cologne and it's the 4th largest city in Germany. It also depends were you eat. A simple/small breakfast would cost about 10 euros ($13) - about the same for lunch. Maybe a dinner would cost between 10 and 20 euros.

I think 98 cents is about equal to 1 euro....if that helps.
