  1. Is that Waterloo, London, or Waterloo, Belgium?

  2. As little as £59 for another £30 you could have an overnight stay with Eurostar.

  3. why bother

  4. about £70 for a person

  5. 842 Pounds ... no just kidding.

It depends on what you do doesn't it ?Are you super spendthrift ? Do you want a minimum?

Average spending would be : 6 to 10 euros for transport in Paris (métro) , 20 euros per meal in an average restaurant museum entry 10 to 15 euros... and spending money....

  6. The cost to get there on the Eurostar depends how far in advance you book. There are different price brackets available depending on what time you want to travel, what class you want and so on - you really would be better off looking for yourself on http://www.eurostar.com/dynamic/_SvBoExp... rather than asking here, because an estimate based on when somebody else went might not be anything like what it'll cost when you want to go.

The Gare du Nord is central in Paris, I believe, and their underground is cheaper than ours. I understand that the best way around the city is to walk, which clearly is free, unless you have a specific destination in mind which isn't central.

Attractions cost anywhere from free to loads, so what you'll spend while you're there depends on what you like doing, how much you want to cram in to your day, and where you draw your personal line on whether something is "worth the money" or not. You can wander around looking at things from the outside and have a two-hour lunch outside a cafe somewhere nice and watch the world go by. Or you can do the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, a river cruise etc and to h**l with the money. Or anything in between, the choice is yours.

When I visited for the first time (which to be fair was years and years ago) I was surprised to find you can't drink the tapwater and that bottles of water cost a fortune from street-sellers. So if you don't mind carrying it around with you, bring some from home.
