  1. $45.00  from Manhattan to JFK.  That's 20 miles.

  2. In Japan, 20 miles would cost you about 60-70 USD (6,000-7,100 yen) assuming you don't sit in traffic or have to go through tolls.

    7.10 for every mile roughly.

  3. In New York City it's $0.40 per one-fifth mile, plus an initial charge of something like $2.50.  Total would be $42.50 plus gratuity, which is usually 15 to 20 percent.

    .

  4. Depends were you and were your going....

Were i live Doncaster , UK it would proberley be about 10 - 15 pound.

  5. it depends on the city /county/state you are in

some in some cities the taxis use meters ,others charge a flat rate  others go by zones. and even different taxi companies will have different rates

like for example in Malibu California the Malibu taxi company

uses a flat rate yet united independent taxi (which also services Malibu goes by the meter)

same city two different taxi companies

  6. in nc its about 50 cent to 1 dollar a mile.... trust me it adds up FAST!!

  7. in eastern nc its $1.10 to get in and $1 every mile

  8. It depends on your location. In Washington, DC it starts at $4.00 and then it is $0.25 for every 6th of a mile. So for 20 miles it would be $34.00

  9. I am attaching a page with a list of sample taxi fares in major US cities.  It is for 5 miles, but you will get the idea.  The site, TaxiFareFinder.com, also has a tool that allows you to type the locations you are traveling from and to, and it'll estimate the fare for you. (click on one of the cities from the rate table)
