  1. i think it's around 50,000

    this probably varies, i know it took millions to put some people on death row.. for the trial etc.. the cheap part is housing them after.

    i think it's around 50k per every inmate.. since the guard to prisoner ratio and the solitary nature of the death row inmates is more resource intensive... it probably costs a bit more.

    america is a prison state.. with 2? percent of our population incarcerated..

    it's time to de criminalize drugs and put the corporate criminals in jail instead.

    I think death row inmates are about twice that - $100K.

    I heard somewhere that, on average, it costs the State $2 million to execute a prisoner, with all the appeals and such.
