Question:

How much does it cost to FILL an Easy Set Pool?

I live with my parents who have a big back yard so I got one of those Easy Set swimming pools for the summer. I got the 18 foot wide by 4 feet deep model. My question is, can anyone tell me how bad it affected your water bill? My parents saw how huge the pool is and are worried about an enormous water bill. Someone said their bill was over $200 that month when they filled theirs! Yikes! My mom said I'd have to pay the water bill and the pool itself already cost $300! Can anyone tell me how bad their water bill was the month they filled their Easy Set pool? Is it really that bad?? I know all water companies are different, but I'd just like a general idea of what to expect when I finally fill mine.

  1. I had the same pool...Me & a boyfriend at the time went in on it together and bought it. We set it up in his parents yard, and when they got the water bill (I can't remember the exact amount) but it was right around $200 - $250 just to fill it up. But that was 2 years ago, it could be more now. It is well worth it though! :)

  2. We have one of these, but we are on a well, so I don't know

about cost.  But see if the water department where you live will spread the cost out over the year (average it on each bill)

so you can pay it that way. They might just work with you on it.

Also, some people here call the fire department and get them

to come and fill their pool all at once.  You could ask them about the cost.  Hope these ideas help.

  3. call you water department. on the pool box it should tell you about how many gallons the pool will hold. you can give this information to the water department and they could give you an estimate. most cities give you a break in the summer with you water bill since most cities base their sewage of the water usage

  4. Your pool 18' round x 4' and filled to the brim is 7614 gallons or1018 cubic feet.  Look at your water bill and see what the units are, cubic feet or gallons and figure it out for yourself.  This assumes you are using your house water to fill your pool.

In California our pools average 15,000 gallons and cost $75 to fill!

    You're welcome!!
