  1. i seriously do not know.

  2. Try foster care !

  3. If the actual cost of the adoption is the problem then I would advise against adopting.  Adoptions range in price, but the cost of raising a child can have a significant impact on a family.  Remember the addition of a family member will warrant more food, transportation, care, and clothing...

  4. Sorry, lil sister, but adoption is an adult decision.  It is not the decision of a child who wants a sister.  If your parents want another child and want to care for and raise an older child, they can go through Ohio Department of Child Protective Services.  Good luck!

  5. In the state of Ohio you can adopt kids for free from the foster care system. It actually saves the state money if you adopt them so they don't charge anything.

EDIT: Okay you're from Columbus, I live about an hour south east of you in Athens. You need to call this number to get more info (614) 278-5800

  6. Costs do vary but I think on average it costs the adoptee a complete sense of self and shatters the ability to love unconditionally, while depleting the stores of trust. It costs feeling acceptance, and having one's natural abilities and traits modeled.

For the mother of adoption loss it can cost her future fertility, confidence, self-esteem. Sometimes it costs her severe depression and lack of trust in others. There is a toll of resentment her family may bear for not helping her keep her baby.

For the adoptive parents, usually it's just a bunch of money. Oh and some paperwork.

  7. children available for adoption aren't there so people can 'have a sister', "build their family" "pick and choose" they're there because they need devoted attention and compassion to help them heal and thrive from the trauma of loss of family / mother that has already impacted their lives. Its not a catalog, its not like getting a puppy, these are human beings with needs of their own.

  8. Free if they go to the state in a foster parent program.  This is perfect if yall decide to get a little sister, who is not a newborn.  Plus, you get to pick if your sister will look like your family, or not :-)

  9. May you should think of joining the big sister program.

  10. I am not sure whether to ask how old you are from your poor grammar or ask why if your parents want to adopt a child why they don't find out themselves instead of getting a child to ask like she is asking for a puppy.  :)

  11. Get a puppy, geeeez

  12. it doesn't cost anything in England, just ask your local adoption agency.
