How much does it cost to air condition a house?

I am considering buying a home in Ft Worth, Tx. About how much would airconditioning cost to keep a 2500 square ft home at about 78 degrees during hot weather? The home would be built after 2001.

My aunt lives in Dallas but she said her electric bill was running about 175. Her house is a little smaller but she is keeping her air on 74.
