How much does it cost to build a BMX bike?

when i say build, i mean: how much total would it cost me if i bought all the peices for the bike seperatley

i want a range of prices

It can cost a lot. Here are a list of my parts and prices (with a few that I'm waiting to buy) from memory. You'll probably be able to get a lot of them cheaper now.

Tires : Snafu Sterly £10 Animal ASM: £15

Snafu cables: £25

So that comes to £1311 or $2622. But if I'm honest I may have spent more through breaking parts (snapping my cranks was expensive!) and ordering parts, trying them out and not liking them.



Order your parts from a local shop or small reliable mailorder firm. Support you local scene rather giving money to big companies like dans comp

why don't you spec the bike? figure what components, frame materials, etc, that you want, and look them up! you can note prices and use a calculator, can't you? we know nothing as to what you're looking for, other than a BMX bike..

for what it's worth, for a BMX bike, figure 1/2 as much again, as compared to a similar rig at your LBS. that's LBS price X 1.5..

If you want to build a decent bike it is going to cost you between 350-500 dollars depending on how nice you want every single piece to be.
