For a Taser C-2 expect to pay around $350 to $400. And a background check is required to purchase it. Keep in mind that it is a "Fire and Flee" weapon. One you use it you have about 30 seconds(or longer) to get away from your assailant and get to safety.

However, if you do use it to defend yourself, Taser will replace it for free if you provide them with a copy of the Police report and some of the "taggants" that are expelled from the cartridge when it is fired.
