  1. £1000 AN HOUR loads

  2. A skillion dollars, and not a penny less!!!

  3. The most popular 5 place helicopter is the Bell 206B JetRanger.  Operating costs are a combination of fixed and hourly.

Purchasing a good used 206will cost you around $500,000 to $750,000 depending on condition, component times, and equipment.

Then you need to consider pilot salary, fuel, insurance, direct operating costs (DOC), and unsheduled maintenance.

A skilled pilot is going to cost you in the range of $1000/day for a short term contract, based on an 8 hour day.  There may be regulations preventing a pilot from flying more than 8 hours so you may need more pilots.

Fuel burn on a 206 is about 120 liters (25 gallons) per hour, so that is going to cost $150/hour.  If you are operating in a remote location, the fuel cost could be substantially higher.

Insurance is usually sold by the year, and will run you $30,000 to $60,000 per year depending on pilot qualifications, where you are flying, and the type of work you do.

The DOC on a Bell 206 is about $200-225/hr (scheduled inspections and component overhauls/replacements).  Then you still need to budget for running maintenance and trouble like oil leaks and avionics problems.

The charter rate for a Bell 206 in North America is going to be between $900 and $1200 per hour, all inclusive.

So the answer to your question depends on what you mean by running it for a week - 24 hours per day, 8 hours per day, or just have it sit in your backyard looking pretty.

  4. ill tell you this... it costs a s*** load of money

  5. about 450000 pesos

  6. I think you mean you want to charter it for 1 week of dedicated service.  probably US$4000 per hour of running time + some amount for standing time + additional fees.

or do you want to fly it yourself?  in which case you might be hard pressed to find a 5 seat rental.

  7. If you only need it for a week, why would you but it?  You'll lose 20% due to the turn-around transaction.
