How much does it cost to call america from the uk?

I want to call an american cell phone from my UK house phone.

How much will this cost me?

Calling american phone whether fix or mobile will cost the same. I am not sure how much it will be from the UK. Go onto the website of your fixline phone company and it should say. (i'm from the us i don't know what comany you have sorry) I know its a very resonable price you'll be surprised. I know from spain its 5-10 euro cents/min. so its cheap.!!

If you just have BT without subscribing to ANY discount tariffs (absolute worst case scenario), it will cost you 23.62p/minute Monday through Friday 6am-6pm, 22.45p any other time Monday through Friday and 20.86p/minute all weekend.  If you subscribe to the "BT Together" tariff, it will cost you 15p/minute Monday through Friday 6am-6pm and 10p/minute any other time.  If you subscribe to the "BT International Freedom" or "BT Together International" tariff, then it will cost you only 3p/minute.  If you have BT Broadband Talk then the rate is only 1.25p/minute.  If you don't have BT Broadband Talk then perhaps now would be a good time to get it if you're going to be chatting up mates in the states on the phone all the time ;-)  Prices will vary if you don't have BT of course.  In such case, check with your cable company.
