  1. Im not so sure what you are asking but:

If you already have your proper identification i.e. passport then there is no cost.

Crossing the border is free. You simply arrive at customs, present your identification and they will let you in (or they may not depending on various things).

For example they may ask you about where you are going, how much you may spend etc

But there is no fee to cross the border.

And there are no age restrictions either really.

  2. Financial Information

The fees for travel documents and certificates of identity are as follows:

$22 for each document issued to a child under three years of age

$37 for each document issued to a child between 3 and 15 years of age

$87 for travel documents issued to persons 16 years of age or older

$127 for certificates of identity issued to persons 16 years of age or older

This is straight off the canadian website.   Hope this helps!

  3. If you are crossing by land (no bridge involved) there is no charge.

If you are crossing water via a bridge there is a fee, cars are usually around $2.50, this varies with what currency you are using, it is more expensive if you use Canadian currency.  If you are crossing via ferry, then it is a bit more expensive, I can't really remember but lets say $5.00 a per car, not sure if they charge per passenger.  When crossing via bridge or ferry cars are less expensive to cross with.  the more axles you have the price goes up.  I would think that the ferries charge much the same way.

If you are crossing by yourself, you would have to be of age if not, certainly a letter from you parent or guardian

  4. Not sure what Vampie is talking about, but if you're crossing the border via bridge or tunnel (as I do from Windsor, Ontario, to Detroit, Michigan) it is roughly $4.00 each way, depending on the exchange rate.
