How much does it cost to do the following repairs on a heat pump?

3.Heat Pump:

a.Damaged or missing refrigerant lines where thry connect to the interior unit needs to be repaired.

b.The dirty air blower needs cleaning for proper air flow.

c.The indoor coils are very dirty and and need to be cleaned.

This came up as what needs to be fixed on a home inspection. We are selling our condo.

removing and cleaning the indoor coil is expensive, (300.00 or so). tell me i'm wrong hvac techs, but i think you are looking at a 500 dollar bill. i don't know what he he means by damaged or missing lines. if the lines are missing you have lost the charge and it will need to be recharged.

i wonder if the inspector knows what he is talking about. i might just have the unit serviced and have the tech give his op and say he fixed all that stuff.

Don't forget the refridgerant cost.  

Cleaning, about $60 to $150. (depending on where you live.)

Heat pump, $600 to $800. I don't know what size or model.  

Lines, repairs and refridgerant,   $200 to $400.  

Without looking, and without the condo size, or make and model of heat pump.  This is just a guess.  $800 to $1,350 for repairs.

Call out experts, and see what they would charge for a new system, vs repairs.  

Get 3 estimates.  

A new system is a good selling point.

HVAC Tech.:   Cost will be determined by going labor rate of technicians in your area. How much of the 30feet of copper lines will need replacing ( two needed). With all those problems My estimate would be really close to $2,000. Spending your money on new equipment will add greatly to the value of the property. I say this Because A complete takeout and re-install is required. If these parts are this nasty ,what must the ducts look like???
