How much does it cost to eat at the Rainforest Cafe?

On average what are the menu prices and is the menu kid friendly?

I ate there once before, and I was not impressed with the food either. I was also astounded at how much it costs for a friggin sandwich. If you want the fun atmosphere, but less pricey and much better food, you are much better off hitting TGI Fridays.

Ok, so I work at the Rainforest Cafe here in California and while I believe the food is pretty good I have to admit it's a bit pricey. For example, our Rainforest Cheese Burger is about $11.99 but you have to pay an extra $.99 for french fries! (otherwise it's served with potato chips). The pasta dishes range from 15 to 20 bucks. And most most other entrees round up to $20.00 & over. To add a house salad or soup is $4.79. Appetizers range from 8 to 20 bucks. And drinks, smothies, alcohol can be be anywhere from $2.99 to $11.99. I've served 2 people who odered drinks, an appetizer, 2 dinners, and a desert with a bill that totals about a 100 bucks. It's a great place to bring the kids because they love the atmosphere. And the kids menu is reasonably priced with a good variety of dishes like popcorn shrimp, pasta, jr rainforest burgers, child beverage included. And some locations have a Kids Eat For a $1.99 Night (Wednesday's usuallyafter 5pm) complete with balloon artist and an appearence by Chacha the tree frog.

Otherwise, be prepared to spend some serious cash!

the place is not worth it, its noisy and the food is not that great, just go to olive garden, or black angus

They are open for lunch I believe so I would recommend going at that time. I'm sure it is kid friendly because it's all about animals and things that children like. The prices will be better during lunch time and probably more kid items on the menu at that time instead of dinner time. I do believe that you pay for the atmosphere and the uniqueness of the restaurant. The food  is okay nothing impressive. I've dined there for dinner and the prices were around $15- $25. Do lunch, enjoy the atmosphere and you can save money. You will not miss out because the food prices are not worth the money.

It's not worth it. Go someplace else. Your paying for the "decor", not food quality.

You can dine for under $20.00. That includes a  meal and a drink.
