How much does it cost to expand a bedroom?

Just bought a house and there's a bedroom at the end of the hallway. There's space in the backyard for the bedroom to be expanded, but I would like to know an estimate of the cost to make it bigger. The bedroom is 8ft x 10ft and I want to expand it to by 5ft so that it becomes 13ft x 10ft. Thanks!

what is your roof material?  Is the site flat?  Are there utilities that have to be rerouted during this remodel?  What is the exterior material of the home?  Another thing to consider is that for the amount of work that would be required to expand the room 5 feet, you should consider expanding it further.  Another a couple of feet will not cost that much more.  You may even consider a bath for that room or a walk in closet.
