  1. Use the web to locate an auto parts site, such as www.autozone.com. complete a search, unputing your vehicles year, make, model, and part needed. If they have one in stock it will give you a price. it's been awhile since on the mechanics side of things, but labor rates are between $25 and $50/hour. If it's a simple, easy to get to, transmission line, it should'nt take long to replace. It might be as simple as replacing an O-ring. Some shops use a maintenance manual that lists labor times for most repairs. If the repair is done faster that the book lists you still pay what the books says and vice versa.

  2. You don't say what kind of car or which line, but if it is one of the lines between the transmission and the radiator, it shouldn't be too bad.  I would guess that it would be less than $150.  These lines are usually fairly easy to get to and are relatively inexpensive.  Rather than replace the line, your mechanic may even be able to repair it, that would be even less expensive.  Good luck

  3. the cost depends on what car its for and if its a steel pipe or rubber hose
