How much does it cost to fly first class?

Unless your flying long haul like say, 16~20hrs I wouldn't recommend it.

Business Class is just as good and it's probably about half the price.

The benefits are: better seats, free drinks, immediate attention/service, better inflight entertainment/larger screen etc.

For example: From London to Tokyo Non-stop on British Airways

Economy: GBP 2250

Business: GBP 3745

First:        GBP 9475

As you can see the difference between Economy and Business isn't that  much compared to the Economy/Business and First class.

Also other airlines could be cheaper, but the price difference is about the same.

it cost me & hubby 300 pounds to upgrade our flights from economy to Premier class...more leg room, free drinks etc...but to be honest - it was a total waste of money.  that was from UK to India with Monarch.. i think!

edit: it was 150 quid each...& that was only one way!

It depends on what airline you're using, from where to where, all i know is that from Taipei to San Fransisco on United costs 169 US dollars per seat extra. So that's about 338 English Pounds, i think.

no idea, i went permiar gold with airtours 2001, when upper class was better as there was more differnece between the classes, sadly there no longer is that big a differnence unless you go virgin or someone like that.

For the 4 of us back then it was like £1200 but that was 2 adults and 2 children manchester to florida. but it was in 2001

where are you going and what airline are you using?

that makes a big difference in price.

Think where your going before spending your money on a first class ticket, you might also think how you will get back from where ever.
