  1. It's completely free.  There are no other companies that are as widely accepted.


  2. There is no fee to establish a basic Paypal account nor is there a monthly fee to keep it active. On a basic account, fees are only paid on transfers to your account.

  3. Costs nothing, it is free.  As far as similar companies, there probably are, but paypal is most well known and widely accepted, so I would feel the safest with them.
